The trail calculator calculates the crossing time, GOT points, distances and altitudes of a trip along the marked trails of the Carpathians and Sudetes. It allows you to divide the trip into daily stages, plan breaks, and set the starting times of the stages.
The map shows places from which you can choose the beginning of the trail. The individual symbols mean: - city, - peak, - pass, - a different type of facility. - mountain hut.
Object symbols are usually on a colored background. A colorful background will allow you to distinguish individual mountain groups. A red halo was used to distinguish objects that mark points for multi-day trips to large GOT degrees. There are also objects for which no background has been applied. These are facilities that are not included in the GOT regulations, and they were additionally introduced for greater flexibility in route planning.
After selecting the beginning of the trail, the character «Calculator» appears.
The next parts of the trail can be selected in several ways:
After selecting a distant object, the program looks for the fastest route. When it finds multiple variants, it will display a variant selection form. If unsuccessful, it will stay in the previous location, but will not display the character «Calculator».
The map presents the entire course of the hike on an ongoing basis. The route is marked with a bold line. At the individual points through which the hike leads, there are stage stamps: ... . The number 0 indicates the beginning of the trail. The number 99 is not a limit to the number of trail sections, because for the persistent the numbering starts from zero again
By clicking on the stage icon you can:
In the left part of the menu, basic information about the course of the trail is displayed: distance, time, start and end time of the trip. When the trip is divided into several days, the information will be on the last day, and information about previous days can be read by expanding the list.
Detailed information on the performed calculation is available after pressing Results . The program then leaves the map page and goes to the page where it displays a number of tables, descriptions of trips, photos, links to other websites describing selected routes, and even weather forecasts and webcam views.
